Information for EU applicants

The Brexit vote may effect some European applicants. Please see the current guidance taken from the KSS website:

Some applicants may be considered before others on the basis of immigration status, in accordance with guidance from the UK

Home Office.

Applicants requiring Tier 2 sponsorship and who are subject to RLMT will not be eligible for appointment in Core Surgical Training until all suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA applicants have been appointed and the Resident Labour Market Test (RLMT) has been satisfied.  The RLMT will not be satisfied in Round 1 of recruitment so applicants to which the RLMT applies are strongly advised to pursue their applications in Round 2 of recruitment.
If invited to interview, applicants will be required to produce their original documents (passports, page with the stamp and letter from the Home Office) on the day of their interview.

The CSNRO are NOT able to give advice relating to queries on immigration and CANNOT give advice to applicants on specific situations such as whether their immigration status makes them eligible, how they can change their status, how to apply for different types of visa, etc.  Applicants should refer to UK Border Agency and Specialty Training websites for up to date information regarding the right to work in the UK.
